St. Pete Beach Community Update
City Offices will be closed Monday, February 15th, 2021 in observance of Presidents Day.
City of St. Pete Beach Firefighter Pension Board of Trustees Vacancies:
The City of St. Pete Beach needs two volunteers for to fill vacancies on the Pension Board for the Firefighters Pension.
- Both terms are two year terms.
- One person must be a full-time City resident
- One person can be a resident of Florida in any municipality but is expected to attend these meetings. Right now, they are in ZOOM but may switch to in-person shortly.
The Board meets once per quarter, so four times a year. January, April, July, October and rotate meeting times of 8:30 am, 10:30 am, and 1:30 pm.

Construction and Beach Projects
Sewer Project
There are three locations within the City of St. Pete Beach where this project has an active construction zone. The area on Boca Ciega is tentatively scheduled to finish active boring by the end of next week.
The Open Cut Crew is working north of Gulf Winds Drive and Boca Ciega Drive and will likely continue to work north for the next 3-5 weeks.
Egan Boat Ramp
One side of the boat ramp is done, the second side is currently demolished. This project should be completed by the end of February.
The St. Pete Beach Library
The St. Pete Beach Library is on the move. Majority of the project is complete, as the team is working on final touches and moving back in from the temporary space. The Parking Lot construction began this week.
Road Construction
The PSTA Contractor constructing new bus stops will begin work on Gulf Blvd at 55th Ave beginning Monday, February 8th and continuing through to Friday February 12th. The outside lane of Gulf Blvd will be blocked off. Please drive safely and have patience while the work is ongoing.
St. Pete Beach Public Library News
THE MOVE has started!
During the move back to the renovated building library services will continue at 7470 Gulf Blvd. for as long as possible.
